  Sourcing

Our Interior stylist and personal shoppers offer a range of services to help clients source unique pieces for their homes. Here are some common services along with an overview of associated costs and rates:

Design Consultation

his initial service involves an in-depth discussion with the client to understand their design goals, personal style, and budget. The designer provides recommendations on sourcing unique pieces and offers guidance on creating a cohesive and curated space. Design consultation fees can vary, but they generally range from $100 to $300 per hour.

Product Research and Sourcing

Our team at The Muse Emporium have access to a vast network of suppliers, artisans, and showrooms, enabling them to find exclusive and rare pieces for their clients. They research and curate a selection of unique furniture, lighting, artwork, textiles, and accessories that align with the client's style and budget. The cost for product research and sourcing is typically included in the overall design fee or can be billed separately at an hourly rate, which may range from $75 to $200 per hour.

Custom Design and Bespoke Pieces

In some cases, our designers may collaborate with craftsmen, artists, or manufacturers to create custom-designed furniture, lighting, or other bespoke pieces tailored specifically to the client's requirements. The costs for custom pieces vary greatly depending on the complexity of the design, materials used, and the craftsmanship involved. Custom pieces often have a separate pricing structure and are quoted on a case-by-case basis.

Art and Antique Procurement

The Muse Emporium can assist in procuring artwork, sculptures, and antiques to enhance the aesthetic appeal of a space. They have knowledge of art galleries, auction houses, and dealers, and can help clients navigate the art market. Fees for art and antique procurement may be charged as a percentage of the total artwork value, ranging from 10% to 30%, or as a flat fee per piece.

Negotiation and Purchasing

Once our team and client finalize the selection of unique pieces, the designer can handle the negotiation and purchasing process on behalf of the client. This includes coordinating with suppliers, obtaining quotes, managing orders, overseeing shipping and delivery, and resolving any issues that may arise. Designers may charge a percentage-based fee on the total cost of items purchased, typically ranging from 10% to 30%.

It's important to note that these rates and costs can vary depending on the location, project scope, and the level of customization required. Additionally, we may offer package deals or customized pricing structures based on individual client needs. When working with our team, it's recommended to have a clear discussion about the services included, the fee structure, and any additional costs that may arise during the sourcing process.
